There is a massive amount of "Green-washing" in the egg industry, so what is the difference?
Conventional: Hens raised in cages within a large barn and fed conventional grains.
Cage-Free: Raised in the same barns with the same feed as conventional, minus the cages.
Free-Range: Hens have access to some amount of outdoor space, but spend the majority of their time in the barn.
Organic: May be raised in the same way as conventional or free-range, but their feed is certified organic.
Pasture Raised:Our hens spend all of their time outside, moving to new pasture daily. They are able to move freely and express their natural tendencies to peck and scratch. They consume a large amount of forage, invertebrates and small mammals... producing richer and healthier eggs.
